On March 15, 2010, Dan, who is as a child spent some time in the Maples adolescent Psychiatric and forensics Center of British Columbia, and Wes Pidgeon as guests on COOP Radio; along with guest host Reginald Angus Argue.
Dan, who as a child he went through 36 foster homes by the time he was thirteen, end up in the Maples Center of British Columbia after he became a permanent ward of the State, he talked about:
-his friend Sasha had committed suicide just like Serena Fry in the Maple Center
-life in the Maple Center of British Columbia was like one flew over the Cuckoo Nest
-children in the Maple Center were having sex, girls were prostituting themselves just outside of the Maple Center, and the list goes on.
-the way the Ministry acts has to change, as some children are forced to go through up to four homes a year and this cannot be good for a child growing up.
-children ages 11 to 17 in Maple Center and sex happening between the children; some possibly as young as 11 years old having sex.
Wes continued to talk about the abuse that some foster care children have had to endure within the Maple Center and elsewhere here in the Province of British Columbia Canada.
